The company’s attorney, Taras Seniv, won in the European Court of Human Rights.
Thus, on September 20, 2022, the European Court of Human Rights published a decision in the case of Kadushkevich v. Ukraine (Application No. 21702/14).
The court ruled that the state had committed a violation of the applicant’s rights, which are provided for in clauses 1.3 of Article 5 of the Convention. Therefore, the court found the arrest of the applicant, which took place on 19.09.2013, arbitrary, and his detention unfounded.
The court also awarded the applicant just satisfaction: 3,900 euros in compensation for moral damage and 500 euros in compensation for court costs.
Taras Seniv defended the applicant not only at the European Court of Human Rights, but also during the entire period of the national criminal proceedings until its closure due to the refusal of the prosecutor’s office to maintain the indictment.
